  • Membership and PR/BMC Coordinators Training

     

    Membership and BMC Training will be held in-person in Ghent, Belgium from the 25th to the 27th October 2024. All further details will be announced soon.

  • EUROPEAN GOVERNORS-ELECT EDUCATION WEEKEND

     

    Goal / idea

    The main aim of this education weekend is to actively participate by working on skills and sharing experiences, in the spirit of cooperation between the Governors-elect (team 2024-25).

    Objectives

    • To build a team of the Governors-elect that cooperates closely with the KIE president-elect.
    • To enable participants to become acquainted with useful membership tools for club opening and club strengthening.
    • To enable participants to discuss their membership plans with concrete actions.
    • To enable participants to become acquainted with useful BMC tools to improve the potential on social media and district websites.
    • To enable participants to make a BMC action plan and practice their skills on effective communication.
    • To enable participants to make the difference between leadership by position and leadership by service.
    • To enable participants to discuss about social projects and how to increase their visibility.

    European Governors-elect (team 2024-25)

    The event will be held in English. Interpreting is foreseen for participants who don’t master English adequately. We urge you to request in advance an interpreter for the language of your choice.

  • KE District Membership Coordinator Training

    Goal / idea

    Train the District Membership Coordinators about their role and tasks, concerning new club opening, club strengthening, member retention and rejuvenation.

    Key learnings

    • Exploring different types of club
    • Understanding the importance of a Membership plan/Game plan
    • Strengthening and spreading Kiwanis impact through MeetUps
    • What obstacles are existing clubs imposing to growth
    • How can we make it easy for new members to join Kiwanis Clubs
    • How growth and branding work hand in hand to increase Kiwanis footprint

  • KE PR/BMC Coordinator Training

    Goal / idea

    Train the chairs of branding, marketing and communication about their role and tasks.

    Key learnings

    • Corporate communication: Corporate identity, useful resources, district challenges
    • Communication plan: Audience, Key messages, timing, tools
    • Social media & emailing: Best practices, dos and don’ts
    • Working with local media: Understanding press requirements to build image and credibility at local level
    • How growth and branding work hand in hand to increase Kiwanis footprint

  • Training for trainers

     

    Goal

    The main aim of this course is to enable participants that are STARTING trainers to competently prepare, run and evaluate training activities.

    Objectives

    • To enable participants to articulate and assess trainer competencies and find areas for personal and professional development
    • To enable participants to see logic of training methodology and to build it in a training(session)
    • To raise awareness about, and to provide a framework for learning and training styles
    • To share and to discuss about methods and techniques
    • To raise awareness about different types of trainers and to understand one’s own style

    Target audience

    Language

    Young(er) Kiwanians who run or want to run training activities in/for their districts.

    Note: this training is not intended for expert trainers or professional facilitators/trainers. 

    • English (No interpreting is foreseen)

    Conditions

    • Understand and speak English
    • Be able to attend for the full duration of the programme
    • Be able to implement learnings in the district training sessions
